UTME Candidates

Candidates applying through JAMB should pay attention to the required UTME subject combination before completing their registration.

The combination used for African and Asian Studies is:

• English Language
• History or Government
• Literature in English
• CRS/IRS or Economics

English Language is compulsory, while the remaining subjects form the required Arts or related subject combination for the course.

O'Level Requirements

Candidates should also check their SSCE result. The requirement is five credit passes, including English Language and an appropriate African, Asian, Nigerian or foreign language, with the remaining credits coming from relevant Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences subjects.

Applicants should check the subjects on their result carefully rather than relying only on the total number of credits.
