Schools and Universities Offering Languages Arts and Yoruba in Art/Humanities in Nigeria
Contents
Languages Arts and Yoruba appears in the JAMB brochure's list of programmes under Arts/Humanities. It is listed as a distinct programme from Languages Arts, Language and Linguistics, Linguistics/Yoruba and Yoruba.
What the JAMB Brochure Shows
The supplied JAMB brochure lists Languages Arts and Yoruba as programme number 49 within the Arts/Humanities course list. The list also includes Languages Arts and Yoruba as separate programme titles.
However, the detailed admission-requirements section of the supplied brochure does not contain a separate awarding-institution entry for the exact course title Languages Arts and Yoruba.
Why No University List Has Been Added
This is important for admission seekers. The course appearing in the general Arts/Humanities programme list does not by itself provide enough information to identify the institutions offering the exact course and their admission conditions.
Since the JAMB brochure is the controlling source for the schools offering each exact course, it would be misleading to add universities simply because they offer Yoruba, Linguistics/Yoruba, Languages Arts or another related programme.
Do Not Confuse Related Courses
- Languages Arts and Yoruba
- Languages Arts
- Linguistics/Yoruba
- Yoruba
- Language and Linguistics
These are separately identified programme titles in the Arts/Humanities list. An institution offering one of them should not automatically be presented as offering Languages Arts and Yoruba.
What Candidates Should Do
Candidates interested in the course should confirm the exact programme title and institution before making an application. Particular attention should be given to the institution's current admission entry because the supplied brochure does not provide a detailed institutional entry for this exact course.
The JAMB course list confirms the programme's placement within Arts/Humanities, but it does not, in the supplied material, provide the institution-specific requirements needed to create a reliable university list.
