Sociology Direct Entry Admission
Direct Entry candidates should not assume that the requirements for Sociology are identical across all institutions. The Sociology entry in the JAMB admission brochure gives a specific Direct Entry provision for Federal University of Kashere.
Federal University of Kashere Direct Entry Requirement
Federal University of Kashere accepts either a Credit or Merit pass in a relevant ND or NCE, or three A' Level subjects through IJMB with a minimum of 9 points.
This requirement is specifically attached to the Sociology entry and should therefore be considered separately from the UTME requirements.
What DE Candidates Should Check
- Whether the ND or NCE qualification is in a relevant area.
- Whether the result carries the required Credit or Merit classification.
- For IJMB candidates, whether three A' Level subjects are presented.
- Whether the IJMB result meets the minimum of 9 points stated in the brochure.
- Whether the candidate also satisfies the applicable O'Level requirements.
Do Not Mix DE and UTME Conditions
The Direct Entry qualification is different from the UTME subject combination. A candidate applying through Direct Entry should therefore focus on the qualification route applicable to DE admission rather than treating JAMB UTME subjects as a substitute for the required ND, NCE or IJMB qualification.
