Direct Entry Requirements for Marketing
Direct Entry Routes into Marketing
The general Direct Entry requirement listed for Marketing is two (2) A' Level passes chosen from Accounting, Management, Government and Geography.
However, the Marketing entry also contains a number of institution-specific conditions. These include A' Level, IJMB, ND, HND, NCE and professional qualifications in relevant fields.
Examples of University-Specific Direct Entry Conditions
- ABU: Two A' Level/IJMB passes in Management/Social Science subjects, one of which must be Economics, or a minimum Merit in the ABU Diploma in Insurance, Management, Banking or Accounting.
- ABSU: A' Level Mathematics.
- EBSU: HND, ND or NCE at credit/merit level in relevant programmes, with ND at upper credit level.
- COOU: ND lower credit, with UTME requirements also required.
- IMSU: No Direct Entry.
- JOS: A' Level/IJMB or approved equivalent in Accounting, Business Management or Economics; relevant ND lower credit qualifications may also be considered.
- LAUTECH: A' Level passes in Economics/Business Management, Chemistry, Physics, Geography or Mathematics.
- PHC: specified Advanced Level qualifications or relevant OND/HND qualifications, together with the UTME entry requirements.
- MCPHERSON: JUPEB/IJMB/ATS (Final) of ICAN or approved equivalent, AIB, a three-year Diploma or other relevant professional qualifications.
- RSU: OND/ND Upper Credit, HND Lower Credit, relevant Degree Third Class or at least two A' Level passes at GCE, preferably in Arts and Social Sciences.
Direct Entry applicants should therefore avoid treating the general Marketing requirement as the only route available. The institution's specific condition can materially change what qualification is accepted.
