French UTME Subject Combination in Art/Humanities
Contents
JAMB Subjects for French
The JAMB brochure gives the UTME subject combination for French as French and any other two subjects from Arts and Social Sciences.
- French
- Any other Arts or Social Science subject
- Any other Arts or Social Science subject
This means that French is the specific language subject in the combination, while the other two subjects are selected from the Arts and Social Sciences group.
What Candidates Should Understand
The wording in the brochure is important. The two additional subjects are not restricted to one particular Arts subject; they may come from the stated Arts and Social Sciences group.
Candidates should nevertheless check the specific institution they intend to choose because the brochure contains institution-specific considerations. The general French entry should not automatically be treated as overriding a special provision attached to a particular university.
Do Not Mix It With Related Courses
French is listed separately from programmes such as French and International Relations, French and International Studies, and French with German/Russian. Candidates should therefore use the subject combination attached to the exact course they intend to select.
The JAMB admission information provides the institution-specific conditions used in this guide. Candidates should also consult the document below for additional details.
