History and International Studies Direct Entry Requirements for Art/Humanities Candidates
Contents
For Direct Entry admission into History and International Studies, the general course entry provides two A' Level passes or NCE at Upper Credit in History/Government and any other related subject.
General Direct Entry Qualification
The course entry specifies:
- Two A' Level passes in History/Government and another related subject; or
- NCE at Upper Credit in History/Government and another related subject.
Institution-Specific Direct Entry Conditions
The special consideration column gives additional conditions for several named institutions. AAUA, for example, accepts two A' Level subjects including History or Government, or NCE merits in three subjects including History or Government. AJAYI has separate provisions for NCE/ND and A' Level candidates.
CALABAR accepts NCE credit in History/Government/Social Studies and does not accept IJMB. LASU accepts specified A' Level, NCE and ND qualifications, while PLASU, UNIOSUN, UYO and EUI also have their own stated conditions.
Important Special Consideration Notes
The special consideration section also contains remarks naming AL-HIKMAH, BENIN, CHRISTOPHER, EBSU, KWASU and MCPHERSON with particular Direct Entry conditions. These remarks are retained because they appear in the History and International Studies admission section, even though those names are not part of the main awarding-institution list displayed for the course.
Keep the Qualifications Separate
A' Level, NCE, ND, HND and other qualifications should not be mixed together as though every institution accepts all of them. The applicable condition depends on the institution named in the brochure.
