Direct Entry Requirements for International Relations
Contents
Direct Entry into International Relations
Candidates who already possess an acceptable advanced qualification may seek admission into International Relations through Direct Entry. The stated Direct Entry requirement is two (2) A' Level passes in any of the following subjects:
- Government
- Economics
- History
- French
The requirement is therefore based on two A' Level passes selected from the four listed subjects.
Who Can Apply Through Direct Entry?
Direct Entry is intended for candidates who have qualifications that make them eligible for admission beyond the regular UTME entry route. Candidates should ensure that their A' Level subjects correspond with the subjects specified for International Relations.
OAU Direct Entry Requirement
For International Relations at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), the special consideration gives a more specific requirement. OAU requires two (2) A' Level passes in Government and Economics or History.
This means that candidates applying to OAU should pay particular attention to the institution-specific requirement rather than relying only on the broader Direct Entry requirement.
What Candidates Should Check
Before submitting a Direct Entry application, candidates should confirm that their qualifications meet the stated subject requirements. They should also check the current admission instructions of OAU for any application procedures or additional conditions applicable to the admission year.
