O'Level Subjects Needed for Religious Studies
The general O'Level requirement attached to the Religious Studies entry is five SSCE credit passes, including English Language and CRS/IRS.
This means that candidates should pay particular attention to both English Language and the relevant religious studies subject when checking their results against the general course requirement.
Institutional Differences Matter
The brochure also records additional O'Level conditions for individual institutions. For example, BENIN has a specific Direct Entry condition, while institutions such as IAUED, MOUNTAIN TOP and PHC have detailed subject requirements within their special considerations.
- English Language is part of the general five-credit requirement.
- CRS/IRS is specifically required in the general Religious Studies entry.
- The remaining credits are based on the general requirement or the particular institution's stated condition.
For example, the brochure records that NDU requires five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Religious Studies and three other subjects, two of which must be Arts subjects. UYO requires five O'Level credit passes in CRS, English Language and any other three subjects from Arts or Social Sciences.
Before Checking Your Result
Do not treat an O'Level requirement from Christian Religious Studies, Theology or another related course as automatically applicable to Religious Studies. The exact Religious Studies entry and the selected institution should determine the subjects you need.
For more detailed institution-specific conditions, candidates should consult the document provided below.
