Professional Accounting Qualifications for Direct Entry

Some candidates interested in Accountancy/Accounting may already have professional accounting training. The admission requirements show that selected institutions recognise qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, AAT and ATS for Direct Entry.

ICAN

Abia State University and DELSU accept a complete pass in the Intermediate ICAN Examination or equivalent under the stated conditions.

The requirements also mention ICAN qualifications for other institutions. Obafemi Awolowo University, for example, accepts ICAN or ACCA examination at professional level or ATS Stage III as part of its listed Direct Entry options.

ACCA

Ebonyi State University accepts AAT, Intermediate ACCA or ICAN, or an ATS final certificate, provided the candidate has the specified O'Level credits in English Language, Economics and Mathematics.

Obafemi Awolowo University also lists ICAN/ACCA professional-level qualifications among its Direct Entry options.

AAT

AAT is specifically mentioned among the professional qualifications accepted by Ebonyi State University under its Accounting Direct Entry conditions.

ATS

ATS is also mentioned in the requirements. Ebonyi State University accepts an ATS final certificate under its stated conditions, while Obafemi Awolowo University lists ATS Stage III among its options.

Professional Qualification Does Not Guarantee Admission
