ND, NCE and HND for Accountancy/Accounting
Some institutions listed for Accounting accept candidates with ND, NCE or HND through Direct Entry. The conditions, however, are not identical across the institutions.
Institutions With ND/NCE Provisions
The requirements state that ADSU, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Abia State University, Madonna University and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University accept ND/NCE in relevant fields under their stated Direct Entry conditions.
HND Acceptance
Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Abia State University also accept HND, while Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University accept ND/HND at lower credit level.
Other Grade Conditions
Ekiti State University, DELSU and the University of Uyo accept ND/HND in relevant programmes not below upper credit level. Nasarawa State University accepts ND/HND at lower credit level in relevant programmes.
Rivers State University also lists OND/ND at upper credit and HND at lower credit among its Direct Entry options.
Relevant Programme Matters
Where an institution requires a relevant field or programme, candidates should not assume that every ND, NCE or HND qualification will qualify them for Accounting Direct Entry.
Other Admission Conditions
Some institutions also require Direct Entry candidates to satisfy the relevant UTME requirements. Candidates should therefore check the complete requirements of their chosen institution before applying.
