O'Level Requirement for Yoruba and Communication Arts
The JAMB admission entry for Yoruba and Communication Arts requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Yoruba and any other three subjects.
The requirement is presented under the LASU entry for the programme. Candidates therefore need to check that their O'Level result contains the required credits before applying for the course.
Required Subjects
- English Language
- Yoruba
- Any other three subjects
This gives the candidate five required SSCE credit passes in total. The three additional subjects are not restricted to a particular subject in the course entry shown in the brochure.
O'Level and UTME Are Different
Candidates should be careful not to confuse this SSCE requirement with the UTME subject combination. The UTME entry requires Yoruba and any other two subjects, while the O'Level requirement is based on five SSCE credit passes including English Language and Yoruba.
A Quick Eligibility Check
Before choosing the programme, compare your result with the stated requirement. In particular, confirm that you have credit passes in English Language and Yoruba, together with three other subjects.
Where the candidate intends to rely on a particular admission consideration, the applicable institutional condition should also be checked carefully rather than assumed to apply generally.
