Direct Entry Routes into Banking/Finance

Banking/Finance Through Direct Entry
Direct Entry can provide an alternative route into Banking/Finance for candidates who already hold a relevant post-secondary qualification. The accepted qualification and required grade are not identical across all institutions, so candidates need to consider the specific university's condition.
Examples of Direct Entry Qualifications
The brochure lists several routes across the institutions covered. These include A' Level passes, NCE, ND and HND qualifications in relevant areas. Some institutions also recognise professional banking or accounting-related qualifications.
For example, AAUA accepts HND at lower credit in Banking and Finance and ND at Credit level in relevant disciplines. ABU accepts two A' Level passes in Accounting or Economics and another subject, NCE passes at Merit level in relevant subjects, or ND at Credit level. ABSU accepts ND in Banking/Finance with a minimum overall average of B.
Why the University Matters
A candidate should not assume that an ND or HND automatically qualifies them for Direct Entry everywhere. The accepted field, grade, examination result and other admission conditions can vary significantly.
Some institutions listed in the brochure also accept professional qualifications or specific combinations of qualifications. Therefore, Direct Entry applicants should match their existing qualification against the exact condition attached to their chosen institution.
The brochure identifies different Direct Entry routes for individual institutions, including AAUA and ABSU.
