Qualifications for Actuarial Science Direct Entry
The general Actuarial Science Direct Entry requirement in the brochure is based on two A Level passes, with Economics and Mathematics included among the required subjects.
Advanced Level Route
The clearest general route is therefore an A Level qualification containing Economics and Mathematics. Candidates should also remember that Direct Entry requirements are not necessarily identical across all universities.
University-Specific Qualifications
The University of Lagos has a more specific provision: it accepts very good passes in three JUPEB/A Level subjects, with Mathematics and any two subjects selected from Financial Accounting, Geography, Government, Biology, Economics, Business Studies, Chemistry and Physics.
The University of Jos refers Actuarial Science Direct Entry applicants to its Marketing requirements.
A separate line in the brochure mentions an A Level Mathematics requirement for ABU, but ABU is not listed among the institutions under Actuarial Science on the Actuarial Science page. It is therefore better not to treat that isolated note as a confirmed ABU Actuarial Science requirement without further confirmation.
