General O'Level Requirement for Hausa
The general requirement is five SSC credit passes to include English Language and Hausa.

Important Institutional Differences
Ahmadu Bello University requires five O'Level credits in Hausa, English and three Arts or Social Science subjects.
Bayero University requires five O'Level credit passes including English Language, Hausa and three other subjects.
Umaru Musa Yar'Adua University requires five O'Level credit passes including English Language, Hausa and three other Arts/Social Science subjects, with an O'Level credit pass in Mathematics.
Federal University Kashere requires five credit passes including English, Mathematics, Hausa and any other two from Arts and Social Science subjects.
Kaduna State University requires five O'Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Hausa plus two other Arts or Social Science subjects.
Sokoto State University requires five SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Hausa Language plus two other Arts/Social Science subjects, at not more than two sittings.
Federal University Dutsin-Ma requires five O'Level credits including English Language, Mathematics and Hausa plus any two Arts or Social Sciences subjects.
Why the Institution Matters
